WISPIRG Asks Gov. Doyle To Protect Our Forests
This summer, WISPIRG asked Gov. Doyle to petition the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to protect roadless areas in some of Wisconsin’s pristine forests. In August, Gov. Doyle announced that he will do so.
Legislature Works To Bring More Clean Energy To Wisconsin
In November, the Legislature
finally released a bill (SB 459) to
move Wisconsin toward a clean
energy future. While it is a good
first step, WISPIRG is working to
take out provisions that could
limit the state’s ability to do more
on clean energy in the future.
